Now a fun picture of Ali at skateland for a birthday party for Madison (holding her hand).  I don't think Skateland has been cleaned since I used to go there when I was about 12 years old, yeah kinda gross, but the kids don't mind!

Have a great day!

A Challenge

I was given a challenge to copy a card from the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog, but I had to use different stamps and a different color scheme.  I chose to copy the layout from page 87 Pony Party card.  Go ahead and look it up if you have the catalog and let me know what you think!  If you don't have the catalog, just click on the catalog on the left side of my blog to download a copy of the current catalog.  It was fun and easy to do and it just goes to show anybody can copy a card from the book and come up with a totally different look using your own stamps and papers that you have on hand.  I challenge you to go ahead and try to copy a card from the catalog  and use your own stamps and color scheme.  It was really fun to do!
I knew what colors I wanted to use but wasn't sure what base color I wanted for sure so I made two using same colors and changing the base color around.  I think I like the one with the Soft Suede base color best!  How about you?

Butterfly Garden

This is too cool that I figured out how to do this, and to think that while I am working at the hospital this little puppy will post automatically for me! Here are a few photos of a butterfly album I made using some beautiful butterfly papers and embellishments.  Happy Monday everyone!  Enjoy . . .

Short post for today, need to get some cleaning and organizing done in my stamp area so I can get back to creating more goodies.  Will be posting here tomorrow (I hope, no promises but I will try) what our project will be for our make 'n take on Friday down at Simply Home.  Until then. . .

Gift bags galore

Thought it would be fun to decorate some gift bags and make a couple of tags to go with them.  Loved this Lost & Found paper line but since I don't like to scrapbook I figured this would be a fun little project to do with some of this lovely paper.  I actually have them for sale at Simply Home (formerly Mary Martha's).

Made some delicous pumpkin zucchini bread and a nice pot of homemade chili, yummo! Ali and I thought it was time to get our fall decorations out and fill our home with the delicious scents and feelings of fall. How this is my favorite season of the year, I just love the colors, the crisp cool air, getting our flannel sheets on the beds, putting on our cozy pj's and having fires again so we can all snuggle up and read books and watch movies. Ali told me her favorite season is winter because of sledding in the snow with her brother and of course Christmas, building snowmen and having hot chocolate and popcorn with our movies.  Dan's favorite season is spring when everything comes alive again, he loves seeing new growth on the trees and flowers sprouting in the ground.  But for now I am going to enjoy my favorite season and all it has to offer us.  I need to get some corn stalks for our outdoor decorations, some gourds and pumpkins to sprinkle around the yard, some pumpkin spice candles (since we know I won't be baking everyday) and some spiced cider to sip by the fire.  Enough rambling for now, you're all probably thinking blah, blah, blah.  Till tomorrow. . .

Something different

Here are some pictures of a baby scrapbook I made for one of the doctors at our local hospital.  It was a challenge to say the least, I'm better off making cards!  I do like how the pages turned out but I am a stamper and card maker at heart! Of course I waited until I had all the pages in the album to take pictures and there was no way I was going to take them out again so there is a little glare on each page, a photographer I am not (which is why I have a hard time getting posts done for this little blog, they require pictures and I wish somebody else would take them for me.  And if only I had thought to make two of each page then I could have had an album for Ali too, why do I think of these things after the fact grrr.  Anyway I hope you enjoy a little peek at my scrapbooking . . .

On this page I put the babies name on each of the banner pieces but didn't have that done when I took pictures.

You all know what I'm gonna do now don't you.  I'm gonna do a couple more posts and set the timer so they post by themselves over the next couple of days, I told you I was gonna cheat and do that!  So off I go, night everybody!
