For Sharon

This is just for you Sharon.  If it weren't for you I probably would still be on the couch trying to take a nap, but all I could think of was you reminding me how long it had been since I'd posted. Lol!

This first one is a card I made with some yummy spring colors, turquoise, orange, and celery.  I used a weathered background stamp, SU!'s embossed butterfly die, some buttons and twine.

This next one is a soft, springy color combo.  This image is stamped on watercolor paper and colored with blender pens and reinkers.  I really like the soft colors with the striking black.
This last one is a soft, vintage card made with some of my favorite things, buttons, flowers, lace and I love the maya road chipboard vintage keys!  They are a very fun accent to play with.  I painted it with acrylic paint and covered it with glitter.  Papers are by Webster's pages.

At least I have something to post after being off work for 6 days!  So you can tell I did have some time for stamping, even with our heavy schedule of parties.

Clean & Simple

What a wonderfully relaxed day we had.  The only crazy part was a 4 year old birthday party we went to today.  The kids were so loud the parents had a hard time hearing each other!  Fun was had by all and it was a very nice afternoon.  Here are a few cards I've made these past few days.  I really like this first one, very simple, but the embossing really adds a lot of punch.  I always think my cards need to be layered, with patterned papers and lots of embellishments, so this was a bit out of my normal type of card to make, but I like the results.

Here's another fun one.  I used a piece of 1/2" sticky strip and applied glitter, so easy.  I normally would have placed a piece of ribbon here but have wanted to try this technique and I really do like it.

And lastly, a card that I tried to use minimal embellishments on.  Used the piercer to get some texture on it and just a smidgen of stickles on the flower center.
That would be all for tonight!

Vintage Valentines

It's hard to believe I haven't posted since the end of January, things have been pretty busy around here and I don't think they're about to slow down. We are on day three of parties, only 3 more to go!  We have 6 days straight of parties!  No wonder I've been busy, we had to do 14 valentine's for preschool, 18 for daycare, I did 15 for coworkers, and don't forget the family!  No wonder I haven't had time to post.  Also some new and very exciting things are happening for me as well, can't share yet but when the time is right I will.  Let's just say God is blessing me with new people in my life.  I trust His direction for my life and look forward to what plans He has for me!

On to these fun valentine tags, I made these for my fellow coworkers and then attached them to some glassine bags filled with some homemade chocolate candies, tied all together with some pink tulle.  They were heavenly!

Doillies, prima flowers, glitter, soft satin ribbon and hearts, great ingredients for some vintage valentines!

Well that's all I have for tonight, but I do promise another post tomorrow, I've been working on my samples of what we will be doing for my upcoming stamp class, so stay tuned!  I should be at yet another valentine's party, this one is hosted by a coworker, and I'm probably the only one who didn't go, but it's pouring down rain outside, I'm warm and cozy in my house with my hubby and little one, she's playing with my hair and I can't see leaving my little piece of heaven, life goes on.  Till tomorrow. . .
